The Whole Person (TWP) is a private, nonresidential, nonprofit, 501(c)3 corporation providing independent living services for people with disabilities in the Greater Kansas City region.

Since 1978, TWP has offered community-based, consumer-driven programming for people with mental, sensory, developmental/cognitive, and physical disabilities in the Greater Kansas City metropolitan area, all aimed at promoting, supporting and empowering independent living choices and preventing institutionalization.

We serve the following counties: Cass, Clay, Jackson and Platte (in Missouri); Johnson, Leavenworth and Wyandotte (in Kansas).The mission of The Whole Person is “to connect people with disabilities to the resources they need by supporting independent choice and advocating for positive change in the community.”
