The Independent Living Center (TILC) is a private, non-residential, not-for-profit corporation devoted to meeting the needs of individuals with disabilities and to serving them, their families and communities.

In 2011, TILC responded to the Joplin tornado by coordinating services for individuals with disabilities; collaborating with local, state and federal partners, and working diligently to ensure that our community is rebuilt with the needs and desires of people with disabilities in mind.
