empower: abilities (formerly SCIL) is located in Springfield and has been serving those with disabilities in our community since 1985.

Our mission is to remove barriers and empower independent living for all people with disabilities. Staff, leadership and board work closely together to increase opportunity and expand access through services of advocacy, information and referral, peer support, personal care (CDS and In-Home), independent living skills, assistive technology, community access, home modifications, transitions and youth services.

We are a group of advocates; a team of passionate, dedicated individuals; a face for change. Our work with community partners helps to expand inclusion and opportunity and through our services we empower ability.
